Now Hiring: Rural Engagement Interns with 350 Wisconsin!
We are seeking interns to join our team in advancing climate action through civic engagement in rural communities across Wisconsin. This paid, part-time internship offers high school and college students the chance to gain hands-on experience with grassroots organizing, community engagement, and climate-focused advocacy—all while building valuable skills in nonprofit and campaign work. 350 Wisconsin is a statewide climate justice organization working to end fossil fuel use and build a just, sustainable future for all.
Interns will help lead projects like voter registration drives, clean energy advocacy, and community discussions on sustainable agriculture. Responsibilities may include assisting with nonpartisan voter education and Get Out the Vote (GOTV) efforts, building relationships with local partners, supporting volunteers with outreach and canvassing, and participating in campaign planning. Interns will also contribute to communications work—helping with social media, digital outreach, and community-facing content that encourages civic participation and climate action. The internship requires an average commitment of 10 hours per week from September to May with a $3,000 stipend. It is open to students living in or near rural Wisconsin communities.
