Veterinarian Wanted for Primate Sanctuary in Nigeria
Drill Ranch is seeking a qualified veterinarian to join our team. We are currently home to 653 drill monkeys, 27 chimpanzees, 29 African Gray parrots, and various endemic species across 2 project sites in Cross River State, Nigeria. The duties of the project veterinarian include, but are not limited to, monitoring the health and well-being of all residents at Drill Ranch, perform routine health checks, preventive and diagnostic medicine, record keeping, and training of a Nigerian Veterinarian.
We seek an individual with a strong passion for wildlife and the willingness to go above and beyond to ensure the health and well-being of all Drill Ranch residents. English is a requirement. Experience with primates is preferred but not mandatory. The ability to work within established protocols while also bringing new ideas and knowledge is highly preferred. We seek a minimum commitment of 6 months, preferably 1 year. We are looking for someone to begin as soon as possible.
