Good article:
 The NYTimes article, Could You Manage As A Poor American, describes what is already very known at Friends Indeed. Personally, I know I would be severely challenged to make it as a poor American. The article also discusses how under the Trump Administration, increasingly programs are inversely designed to make it more difficult for poorer Americans to asses benefits and easier for those who are wealthier. It quotes a former official from the Agriculture Department, "it is easier to apply for farm subsidies than it is to get SNAP benefits". 

None of this is news to you, but I thought I'd share.
