Hi all! I've followed the instructions to install Forseti via TF using the Cloud Shell method found here: https://forsetisecurity.org/docs/latest/setup/install/

I'm simply using the simple_install folder, updating some variables in the file, and letting it run per the instructions.

It sets up the infrastructure and everything, but when I SSH into the server or client machines and trying to run any command, it gives me:
"forseti: command not found"

I've tried reviewing the logs for the server, but the only logs are INFO level and there seem to be no errors. I've uploaded the logs here!

Can anyone help me understand why Forseti isn't installed on the servers?

Thank you!

I have the same question. The TF did not work out of the box, I had to make modifications.

It's also completely unclear how to get to these CLI tools based on :
that documentation.

I tried then to create a developer setup and ran into all kind of problems with python 3.9, packages not working, setup failing etc.
Eventually when I had setup run, the command it fails with errors.

is this even still developed? I cannot remember having such a hard time going through official docs and getting something to work.
I am happy to contribute, but don't know where to start, so it's close to being abandoned.
I hope someone has a good explanation for this and documentation can be improved.

thank you

I created :
for this.
I ran out of time to look further but I am happy to retry my terrafrom deploy if anyone takes action.
At this point it took to much time to figure out by myself all the things that are missing - finding the command location in the first place, then finding they are not there.
Also compiling the tools failed for me because of Python incompatibilities.
These all stacked up to - leave effort for now.
I am curious to know if others have this and if there is active support.
Thank you
