The recently released version 4.2.0 of the Forseti Terraform has been removed due to an unintended breaking change. If you have upgraded Forseti using the 4.2.0 module between Monday afternoon and this morning, you might be affected.

During the upgrade to Forseti v2.21.0, this breaking change would cause a user's CloudSQL instance to be deleted and would fail to be recreated. We will be publishing a new version of the Forseti module soon without these breaking changes.

We truly apologize for this inconvenience. We strive to making Forseti easy to use and appreciate any feedback.

If you are affected by this issue, please contact us via email or Slack for support.

We have released version 4.2.1 of the Forseti Terraform module.

This release resolves the breaking changes introduced in the version 4.2.0 of the module. It includes the following changes:
  • Support for Forseti v2.21.0
  • Verbose logging for the Forseti Server startup script
  • CloudSQL instance created in the same zone as GCE instances
  • Support for importing existing deployments created by the deprecated Python Installer, including an import script
