This individual will report to the Outside Quality Supervisor and will evaluate incoming fresh and brined product to assure adherence to standards and specifications. The QC lab intern will conduct research experiments focused on improving the fermentation process and minimizing waste. Other duties will include obtaining samples of brined stock and performing various tests including acidity, % salt or salometer, and pH. The individual will also review samples of incoming fresh materials and inspect for sizing and quality.

Oversees all aspects of product quality for the Food Ingredients and Innovation (FII) Division. This position will interface with Manufacturing, Product Development, Global Sourcing, and other departments within the company. The successful candidate will have experience with Food Preservation techniques and Better Process Control. The incumbent will, along with Product Development personnel, interact with Process Authorities to develop, file, and monitor processes and process deviations as needed. This position is an integral part of the corporate food safety initiative and serves as SQF practitioner for the FII Division.
