Dear wonderful students,
Hope your summer is going extraordinarily well. The days are flying by and we will soon be traveling to the IAFP annual meeting in Portland, Oregon USA.
On behalf of the entire Food Packaging Professional Development Group (PDG), I warmly invite you all to attend our PDG meeting. We will gather on Saturday, July 25, 2015 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm at the Oregon Convention Center, Room B111.
Realizing that the Student Luncheon and PDG meeting go to 1:30 pm that day, I would like to emphasize that joining our Packaging meeting late, no matter what the hour, will be perfectly fine. The welcome mat will be out to all student visitors and new members alike, whenever you can get there. Just come on in and make yourselves at home.
Do feel free to bring any friends who might be interested in food packaging safety, as well.
And keep in mind that we would be open to any potential collaborations between the Packaging PDG and the Student PDG this fall and throughout the coming year.
A special highlight of our PDG meeting will be a presentation by John Ossmann, Customer Technical Service Representative with Silgan Containers, entitled " Case Study: Rivet Leakers in Canned Soup.”
All the details about our entire PDG meeting are highlighted on the attached agenda.
Travel safe to Portland. We look forward to meeting and speaking with you there.
Kind regards,
Linda
