New IAFP PDG on molecular methods to detect pathogens

Good evening all,

I hope everyone's summer is going splendidly.  IAFP is right around the corner.  Thanks to all who have volunteer to session monitor.

A new PDG was brought to my attention which I think some of our student members would be interested in.  Please see the attached file for a breakdown of the Advanced Molecular Detection Analytics (AMDA) PDG.  Their meeting will be on Sunday August 3 from 1- 3pm in room 116.  The specific focus area of this group will be on new topics for molecular methods (e.g. Next-Gen sequencing techniques for outbreaks).  

Just thought I'd bring this up.  Participating in other PDG's is a great way to keep up on new topics and build your network.
