Hey everyone,

I've been pleased to serve the community as Technical Oversight Committee Chair with Peter Smolovics as Vice Chair since 2024.

In that time, we refined documentation of the TOC governance including roles, responsibilities, and voting rules to ensure that the TOC is equipped to produce high quality outcomes. We also designed a new Lifecycle process which raises the bar for projects while also increasing the efficiency of project acceptance, promotion, and health reviews.

As my term as Chair comes to an end, I'm happy to announce the results of the TOC leadership election!

Through a ranked voting process, the membars of the TOC have collectively expressed a clear confidence in the leadership capabilities of Peter to serve as the new Chair, and Maria as Vice Chair.

They will immediately assume their new responsibilities, and Peter will also now represent us on the FINOS Governing Board.
