Hi Everyone,

The Fluxnova Maintainers are excited to announce the general availability of Fluxnova 3.0, our most significant feature-rich release since the project's inception.
Fluxnova 3.0 marks a major milestone in the evolution of the platform, delivering significant advancements in modernization, process transparency, data governance, AI integration, and extensibility to enable enterprise orchestration at scale.

Release Highlights 
  1. Modernization & TLM : Springboot 4 upgrade and 14 other libraries that were EOL in the current version of Fluxnova
  2. Control Center UI for Process Management & Operational Transparency 
    • Process definitions - Unified view into deployed processes,  Process heat maps to identify bottlnecks, Instance migrations & other operational controls including suspend, delete, resume etc
    • Process Instances - End to end Process visibility,  Business data inspection, Token traces &  movement, Incident replay, history
    • Decision Definitions - DMN Rule Management, Versioning, audit visibility into rule execution   
    • Jobs, Batch, Incidents - enhanced  production support capabilities to resolve & troubleshooting faster. 
  1. Adhoc Subprocess -Introduces flexible case-management workflows by enabling activities to execute dynamically based on runtime business context.
  2. Restricted variables - Ability to protect PII(Personally identified information)/sensitive data within a process model to reduce data exposure
  3. New Plugin Ecosystem- Custom engine behavior like history data, AuthN/AuthZ, BPM Parsers etc  
  4. MCP Integration - Exposes BPM processes as tools that can be invoked by LLMs and AI agents.
  5. Agentic Adhoc Subprocess - Enables AI agents to execute workflow tasks dynamically using business context and prompts.

Looking ahead
Our roadmap continues to focus on scalability, developer productivity, operational transparency, and AI-enabled automation, including:
  • Retirement of the legacy Cockpit UI
  • End-of-support for JBoss and WildFly deployments
  • Multi-master database support (e.g., Yugabyte) for high availability
  • Next-generation Task Management UI
  • BPM Developer Assistant ("Fluxnova Copilot")
  • Centralized Web Modeler
  • Reusable Reporting and Dashboard Framework

Fluxnova 3.0 is our most feature-rich release to date, establishing a modern foundation for intelligent automation, enterprise orchestration, and AI-enabled business processes.
