Hi All,
As many of you saw at OSSF NYC, the v2.0 release of the AI Governance Framework (AIGF) is now available:
This release represents a major step forward. Building on the foundation established in v1, Version 2 introduces new guidance specifically focused on Agentic AI, reflecting both the rapid evolution of AI capabilities and the emerging risk landscape across financial services. A huge thank-you to all recent contributors, reviewers, and workshop participants. The depth and quality of this release are a direct result of your engagement. Well done all.
So, what's next? Here are some of the priorities for our next phase of work:
- Ongoing refinement of mappings, particularly as global regulatory frameworks continue to evolve
- Deepening the Agentic AI workstream, including new controls, orchestration protocols, evaluation patterns, and risk models for systems with increasing autonomy.
- Collaboration with FINOS Common Cloud Controls to streamline implementation pathways and build traceability between cloud-native controls and AI governance requirements.
- Developing reference architectures and implementations that demonstrate what “good” looks like when applying AIGF controls to real AI systems
Call to action: - Take a look at the AIGF v2.0. If you find it useful, try applying it within your organisation (and I’d be very happy to discuss or support that effort)
- At the very least, give the repo a ⭐️!
- Join the AI Readiness SIG to help tackle the next wave of AI challenges across financial services.
Thanks again to everyone involved!
Luca
