Dear FINOS Community,
It's been a while since we last met as a Community, and, as you probably know, we are now officially
less than two weeks away from our Open Source in Finance Forum in London on July 13th, part of London Fintech Week. I will be there with most of the FINOS team and can't wait to get together with our growing European and international Community.
I am especially proud of the program, which every year continues to grow in breadth and depth, largely thanks to our maintainers, contributors and speakers. But
we also just announced 5 new keynote speakers and added 9 more talks to the breakout sessions. In addition to our Vice-Chair Kim Prado of BMO, Jim Zemlin & Hilary Carter of the Linux Foundation and myself, we are thrilled to have these great keynote speakers:
Regulation Innovation Panel
Francesca Hopwood Road, Centre Head, Bank for International Settlements – BIS - former UK FCA
Jennifer Lassiter, Executive Director, The Digital Dollar Project (FINOS Associate Member)
Anna Wallace, SPO Consumer Protection and RegTech, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation - former UK FCA
Open Source Technology as a Starting Point to Greater Access & Inclusion
Keesa C. Schreane, Author of Gambling on Green: Uncovering the Balance among Revenues, Reputations, and ESG & Host, Refinitive Sustainability Perspectives Podcast & Director, Risk, ESG Data, Sustainable Finance, Refinitiv / London Stock Exchange Group (FINOS Gold Member)
Open Finance: An Open Source View
Declan O'Gorman, Head of Enterprise Engineering, NatWest (FINOS Gold Member)
Our Community is growing quickly with new Members and Projects. So I am looking forward to seeing a mix of old and new faces, ideas, opinions, and most importantly contributions to our Community and to accelerate the open source in finance movement at large.
Especially if you are in the UK / Europe, if you haven't already, hope you'll
consider registering today for what's looking to be the largest FINOS event in Europe to date :)
Thanks and hope to see you there!
Gab
