Greetings, FINOS Community

We’re excited to announce that the registration deadline for the Innovate.DTCC: Industry‑Powered AI Hackathon has been extended to Friday, January 30, 2026, giving additional time to organize your teams and join us for this transformative event!

DTCC invites you to champion participation across your organizations in our 2nd annual Industry-Powered AI Hackathon (supported by FINOS), taking place February 23-27, 2026.

Why this matters: This event is designed for executive outcomes by accelerating practical AI adoption, strengthening enterprise controls, and demonstrating measurable ROI through open collaboration. Code contributed will be open‑sourced via FINOS, with grant funding available to support continued development of winning solutions to ensure momentum continues beyond the competition.

Proven success: In 2025 the inaugural hackathon engaged ~250 participants across more than 45 organizations, producing tangible solutions that enhanced risk management, audit automation, and developer productivity across the industry.

Event Format:

·       Fully Virtual, Built for Scale: All hackathon activities, including presentations and judging, will take place virtually.

·       Flexible Development Environment: DTCC will provide participants with AWS accounts, including access to AWS services and Fluxnova, for development needs during the hackathon.  Our hackathon environment features no-code and low-code tools, enabling broad participation from both technical teams and business-focused professionals.

Tracks aligned to core business priorities: Rather than prescribing narrow use‑case themes, teams will compete across business‑aligned tracks to ensure solutions map directly to real financial‑services challenges. Organizations are encouraged to register teams in any or all tracks relevant to their priorities:

·       IT Innovation

·       Internal Audit & Assurance

·       Financial & Cyber Risk Intelligence

·       HR Innovation

·       Generative AI for Finance

·       Client Experience & Conversational AI

·       Regulatory Compliance

Key dates

·       Registration Ends: January 30, 2026

·       Hackathon Event: February 23–27, 2026

·       Awards Ceremony: March 9, 2026

We encourage you to promote participation across your organization and nominate leaders, subject matter experts, and rising talent to take part in this industry‑defining collaboration.
