Happy Friday FDC3'rs!
I hope that everyone is healthy as we all ride out the corona-crisis.
Votes have closed in both the API Working Group and the Context Data and Intents working group with unanimous approval for the new FDC3 1.1 standard! I wanted to give a huge thanks to everyone involved, this was an amazing effort that addresses a number of critical use cases and moves the whole proposition forward in a big way. Let's keep it going!
At this point, we will have a 2 week RFC period, where we are inviting feedback on the draft standard
here. Please post any comments as
issues on the FDC3 project in Github. If you have proofreading, or similar suggestions to make, doing so directly with
Pull Requests is greatly appreciated. As always, if you don't have access to Github, you can just send an email to
fd...@finos.org.
Once the RFC period is complete, we will have a final PMC vote on the standard and then we will be ready to publish. In preparation, we are finalizing documentation, examples, and other reference materials. If you would like to contribute to the documentation, please look at the Github
issues list, or reach out directly to myself and
Riko.
Also, be on the lookout for the FINOS Webinar series in April - as we'll have some presentations there on the new 1.1 standards (among other things).
Looking forward to talking to everyone soon!
