Hi All,

If you are looking for an update on all things FDC3, the FDC3 General meeting recording is available at: https://github.com/finos/FDC3/issues/1098 and provides just such an update!

Please also note that you can find the latest version (2.1.0-beta.4) of the FDC3 NPM module on NPM at: https://www.npmjs.com/package/@finos/fdc3. The API types in this version are backwards compatible with FDC3 2.0 and includes context types and intents added in 2.1 (which can also be used with 2.0) - hence, please start using it in your applications and let us know how you get on!

Since the FDC3 General meeting in November, we've kicked off the process of accepting a contribution of .NET binding for the FDC3 API from the Morgan Stanley team (including Brian Ingenito, Peter Smulovics, Maria Krupl and others). FDC3 has always been intended to be implemented in multiple languages (with support for .NET and Java bindings already available from a number of vendors) but has previously only provided a defined binding for FDC3 Desktop Agent API in TypeScript/JavaScript. This contribution is extended to create a new standard binding for .NET and is expected to be followed by bindings for other languages (please get in touch if you'd like to contribute or be involved in one).

A PR is underway to add the .NET signatures to the FDC3 documentation and will be available for review in due course (WIP: Adding .NET signatures to FDC3 documentation #1108). In the meantime, please feel free to review the above repository and to comment on any of the above issues with feedback.

Finally, Brian Ingenito (Morgan Stanley) has agreed to join the FDC3 maintainers team to help maintain the .NET bindings for FDC3 with the help of his colleagues. The appointment was approved by the Standards Working Group meeting last week, hence, please join me in welcoming Brian to the team and thanking the Morgan Stanley team for their contribution!
