Hi AI/LLM Interested FINOS Community,

We are excited to announce two more upcoming FINOS event series for the AI Strategic Initiative:

FINOS LLM Exploration:

A follow-up to the kick-off call from two weeks ago where we had 104 attendees! We will be responding to feedback which was brought up on the call, as well as doing a deep dive on the existing work of several of the initiatives in the projects which are being explored as infrastructure for a potential open source LLM for financial services:

Topic: Open Source LLM Exploration in FS Follow-up to Kick-off
When: Wednesday, June 12 @ 10am ET / 3pm BST
Agenda: Overview of existing work & initiatives, how they fit with future work for specific use cases, and what tools/MLOps make sense to collaborate on to support their usage

Pre-London OSFF In-Person, Members-Only Workshops for AI Strategic Initiative

Join other FINOS members for in-person workshops in order to help define each of the AI Strategic Initiative projects while they are still in "formation phase". The registration link will go out in Thursday's Community Blog. Join the FINOS LLM Exploration mailing list in order to hear more about the workshop, and register for the AI Readiness SIG in order to get access to information about the SIG calls and workshops. 

What: In-Person Members-only AI Strategic Initiative Workshops (pre-OSFF)
When: Tuesday, June 25
Agenda:

• 2pm-3.45pm BST -  FINOS LLM Exploration: Use Case Identification Workshop. Participate in a design thinking workshop focused on identifying areas of collaboration around building FSI focused benchmarks, data contribution frameworks, open datasets, MLOps, and other infrastructure to support the potential development of an Open Source LLM for Financial Services.
• 4pm-5pm BST - AI Readiness SIG: Working session replacing bi-weekly SIG call. For FINOS members who want to shape the formation stage of the AI Readiness SIG, participate in a working session to provide feedback on the formation documents currently in draft stage from the Core group.
• 5-5.30pm BST - Social "hour"
