I wanted to mention that last Tuesday here in NYC Two Sigma hosted a great
open source meetup, which we had included previously here, and in turn suggest that you keep that meetup on your radar for future dates. Two Sigma's Julia Meinwald and Josh Bronson presented on topics such as how to pick a good first open source project in which to get involved; Two Sigma's stewardship of the
Pallets Project, parent project to Python projects like
Flask and
Jinja; and techniques such as disassociated forks to create sandboxes for hackathons and open source training environments. We
