      Get Involved.       Opportunities for further participation and contribution in the FINOS community:

      I wanted to mention that last Tuesday here in NYC Two Sigma hosted a great open source meetup, which we had included previously here, and in turn suggest that you keep that meetup on your radar for future dates. Two Sigma's Julia Meinwald and Josh Bronson presented on topics such as how to pick a good first open source project in which to get involved; Two Sigma's stewardship of the Pallets Project, parent project to Python projects like Flask and Jinja; and techniques such as disassociated forks to create sandboxes for hackathons and open source training environments. We live tweeted some of the event from the @FINOSFoundation twitter account. 

      Finally, speaking of FINOS Twitter, you may have seen our tweet about a great post on open source documentation, in particular the trade-offs of a README vs. a static documentation site. The post was written by Taylor Barnett of Spotlight. Must read stuff.
