I am writing you today because we are proposing FDC3 as a solution internally, therefore when we are trying to understand on a market trend standpoint which companies uses the FDC3 protocol? It would be very helpful if us pint point 3-5 names across the Fintech industry or overall that uses this protocol.  Thank you in advance.

Hi Dhouglas

Welcome to the FDC3 community! That is a great question. Officially, the users of FDC3 are the ones you can see at the bottom of https://fdc3.finos.org, but it is up to companies to get themselves added to that list, and not everyone does.

On that list you will see a Tier 1 Investment Bank, several vendors, market data companies,  and financial software consultancies.

I often find it useful to have a glance at some of the recent meeting minutes at https://finosfoundation.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/FDC3/overview, specifically the attendees. For example, aside from the names on the FDC3 website, I see participants like Credit Suisse, Citadel, UBS, Fidelity, Wellington and Citigroup. (https://metrics.finos.org is also a great resource to visualise participation in FINOS programs like FDC3.)

I happen to know of a few other financial institutions using FDC3 as well, who are not active participants, but merely consumers of the standards.

We are currently busy defining (or have already defined...) OKRs around measuring the adoption and usage of FDC3 across the industry, so that we can better answer questions like yours - some of the other FDC3 members will be able to tell you more about that than I can!

As stated above, one of the main goals of the FDC3 PMC this year is to put together a much more comprehensive portfolio of quantitative and qualitative data related to adoption of FDC3 (metrics, case studies, etc) to help support queries exactly like yours.  In the meantime, we're happy to intro you to participants who can provide more color on the state of current integrations directly.
