Candidacies Open for TOC Elections

Dear FINOS Community,

The FINOS Technical Oversight Committee is opening a new round of member elections. There are 4 upcoming vacancies, all four to be filled by the governing board.

Per candidacy rules If you’re either an active contributor to a FINOS project or an employee of a FINOS member organization, you can follow these steps to submit your candidacy:

• Review the TOC responsibilities and ways of working; with your candidacy you confirm you would be volunteering and assisting on the work items assigned to you. 
  • Feel free to contact t...@lists.finos.org if you have any questions.
• Open a Github issue (previous ones as an example) on the TOC repo with the following information:
  • Affiliation: <name of the company you work for - if not applicable, put “Independent”>
  • Qualifications for candidacy: <member OR active contributor of project x,y,z OR both>

• Bio: <relevant information about yourself that you would like to be considered during the election>
• What impact do you hope to have on the ecosystem during your tenure as TOC member:
• Are there any FINOS Strategic Initiatives you would be interested in working on?

Below the full timeline of these elections:

• May 19^th - Candidacy Opens
• June 15^th - Candidacy Closes
• June 15^th - Governing Board Election Opens
• June 30^th - Governing Board Election Closes
• June 30^th - Election Results Announced
• July 1^st - New terms begin

This is a fantastic opportunity to leverage your experience and insight to support the community and influence the direction of FINOS.
