FINOS events in NYC tomorrow + Welcome Rob Moffat + Farewell Aitana Myohl

Dear FINOS Community,

Hope this note finds you well and well energized by COVID finally / hopefully in a substantial downward trend + spring coming. I definitely feel great being back in NYC for the week and seeing the city coming back to life - all my fingers crossed for this trend to continue...

So much is happening in FINOS land so I wanted to call out a couple of key news you don't want to miss:

• First off, we have our FINOS Open Source in Finance Hybrid Meetup in NYC tomorrow night (Wednesday) at 6PM EST, focused on our Compliant Financial Infrastructure fast growing project. We have a few spots left for the in-person meetup near Times Square (thanks to our Silver Member Synechron for hosting us!), but please register here and if we have space left, we'll share details with you asap. Otherwise we'd love to have you join us online!
  
  
• If you are local, and especially if you can't attend the meetup, we will have a FINOS New York Drop In Community Drinks after the meetup. Register here for the meetup and then pick YES for the "Drop in after the meetup", or join us directly at 7:45pm EST at Beer Authority - 300 W 40th Street (1 block from the Meetup). • Starting yesterday, Rob Moffat joined FINOS in Jane's team as Sr. Technical Architect. Rob has a wealth of experience in our industry through his previous gigs at several of our Member institutions and he is also a FINOS Maintainer of the Spring Bot project. Rob joins us out of London, but he's in NYC with us this week, so join us to meet him in person. Rob will be reachable at rob.m...@finos.org - please join us in welcoming him as I hope you are as excited as we are to grow the FINOS team with technical leaders in our industry. And stay tuned as more news on this front is due next week :)
  
  
• I also wanted to let you know that, effective Friday's 18th, our Sr. Manager for Strategic Initiatives Aitana Myohl will be moving on to pursue an exciting opportunity not too far from us in FINOS-land. Of course we will miss her, as she's been a star for the FINOS Community, but we wish her all the best in her new endeavor. We will be opening a replacement position soon, but in the meanwhile if you have referrals in the area of technology program / project management and / or business development, please send them over. For the time being you can reach out directly to me for Open Source Readiness and FDC3 strategic initiatives related questions, and to Jane for Open Regtech related inquiries.
