Dear FINOS Community,

I am excited to announce that OpenMAMA was successfully contributed to FINOS and it's now available as a FINOS hosted project at https://github.com/finos/OpenMAMA.

Open MAMA is a vendor neutral market data API that supports the notion of pluggable adapters to allow it to connect to different market data platforms or exchange data feeds. It allows a single application to connect simultaneously to multiple data providers using different messaging technologies through a single API, providing for market data consumers the same capability that the JDBC and ODBC standards do for databases. It can also be used to allow an application to publish market data in a format where it can be consumed by other OpenMAMA subscribers.

The most current release is 6.3.1, available for download at our github releases page. Documentation is available on our new website at openmama.finos.org and you can reach out to the project team using any of the channels on our support page.

Your feedback, issues, and contributions are more than welcome! See our documentation for more information on how to contribute.

Many thanks to the FINOS team and to the wider FINOS Community for their warm welcome and support in moving OpenMAMA to its new home!

Frank and the OpenMAMA team,

a bit belated but nonetheless a huge thank you for taking the leap and joining FINOS.

This Community is about building bridges and bringing the whole FSI together around a common vision of open source as a key pillar for the industry, and certainly OpenMAMA was a pioneer in this.

We look forward to working with you and increasingly find connections and integrations that can deliver tangible value to our Community and our industry.

Thank you!

Gab
