Hi All,
The Common Cloud Controls (CCC) project has announced an updated Steering Committee, with representation from Citi, LSEG, Morgan Stanley, RBC, and BlackRock, alongside continued support from Red Hat and Scott Logic.
You can read more about this in the This Week At FINOS blog post, but in brief this marks an important step forward for CCC as we scale governance, adoption and industry participation. The Steering Committee ensures the project reflects the financial services community's needs and establishes a clear, collective voice to cloud service providers.
This structure enables the project to move from coordination to delivery: we are seeing strong progress across the project, including the continued development of control catalogs, as well as growing maturity in validator tooling and CCC-compliant infrastructure implementations.
Last week at OSFF Toronto, Eddie Knight (now independent) and Maxime Coquerel (RBC) led a well-attended workshop on the value of CCC and how to apply it in practice. This culminated in a hands-on session where attendees contributed pull requests to the project.
They also previewed upcoming changes to the control catalog formats, showcased ongoing work to modernise the CCC website, and shared how RBC is applying CCC controls in practice. We’ll surface more of this work over the coming weeks.
Best regards,
Rob Moffat
