FIDO - Problem with using U2F YubiKey through USB

I implemented fido2 in my application and it worked well for a long time but recently I started to face issues with registering U2F YubiKey through USB. Fido library began to ask about key PIN which didn't happen before. When a user enters the correct PIN library closes itself and returns UKNOWN_ERROR. I can't determine why the library returns an error even though the user entered the correct pin.

*Google Play services version: 20.0.1
*SDK version: 26-34
*Reproducible on a Pixel/Nexus device? - Yes
Which device did you use to reproduce this issue? - vivo V21 5G V2050
Which Android build are you using? - PD2083CF_EX_A_38.8.12

what settings do you use on the registration? if you have set userVerification to required or requireResidentKey to true, U2F keys plain wont work, as U2F does not have that.
