Which FIDO protocol versions supported in various Device/Platform

Hi All,

As per my FIDO Authenticator testing below list shows the device and current FIDO version support

1. Android Devices ------------------------------------->  u2f/fido1
2. iOS devices         ------------------------------------->  CTAP 2.0/FIDO2
3. Windows 10        ------------------------------------->  CTAP 2.0 /FIDO2
4. Windows 11 (Rel 22H2 Later)       ----------->  CTAP 2.1  /FIDO2.1
5. Mac Devices     --------------------------------------->  CTAP 2.0 /FIDO2

Let me know anything else to add/update to the list.

@Admin please don't delete this email thread it will help people to understand current device support.

Hi John,

I tried it on MacOS but the fido applet not getting triggered in NFC mode using the NFC smartcard (tried Yubikey5 in NFC mode did not get triggered)

Chrome does not natively support NFC security keys. (E.g. it'll only work on Windows when using Windows itself to communicate with the security keys.)
