FIDO2 Authenticator Certification Level

Hi,

I was wondering about the certification level of external USB authenticators.

Is Level 2+ still under development and not yet available?

Hi Vince,

 

L2+ doesn’t exist at this time.

But it was also not really targeted at external authenticators (“Security Keys”).

For Security Keys, you might want to look at either L3 or L3+ at the high end or L2, see https://fidoalliance.org/certification/authenticator-certification-levels/.
