fdsnws-station version 1.1 definition?

Hi -

I'm working through the client requirements for interacting with a fdsnws server and have a query about the "station" service.

With reference to: http://www.fdsn.org/webservices/FDSN-WS-Specifications-1.1.pdf

Table 2 gives sensible default values for minlat,maxlat,minlon,maxlon etc.

Whereas table 4 indicates that these parameters are "required". Is this actually the case? By not using these parameters when the defaults are implied, will I be creating a non-standard client?

I will answer my own question ....

The required part refers to implementing a service rather than the client which has no required parameters in this case.
