Torild van Eck

Dear colleagues, member representatives, and friends of the FDSN:

It is with great sadness that I pass along the news that
Torild van Eck passed away this weekend after suffering
a heart attack.

Torild was a tireless advocate for international collaboration,
a pillar of the FDSN, and a wonderful person and scientist.
He will be sorely missed.
