SAVE-THE-DATE✨TOMORROW
Hi all,
Thank you for the time you have dedicated to being part of the community partnerships in GEO 442 this quarter.
This Thursday is our last day of class and the final project presentations for the students. I updated the calendar invite with the location and Zoom information but in case you did not see it, here is the information:
Thursday, November 13, 2025
from 5:45-6:45pm
(HYBRID OPTIONS)
Room 8010 (the SPARK Center)
For those of you joining the final presentations in person, the SPARK Center is on the 8th floor. I plan to have a student waiting at the elevators on the ground floor to help guide you to the room.
• If there is not a student, let the security guards who are checking IDs by the elevators know that you are here for a community event in the SPARK Center.
• Once you take the elevators up, the room is straight ahead and to the right (follow signs for the SPARK Center).
If you plan to attend in person, please, either email me (michelle.s...@depaul.edu), or RSVP to the calendar invite so we know how many people to expect and can make sure we have everyone before we begin.

OVERVIEW - GEO 442 Course Description & CTA RLE PARTNERSHIP
GEO 442 at DePaul University is a Geographical Information Systems (GIS) course that partnered with the CTA's Red Line Extension (RLE) project to work on real-world sustainability challenges.
• The partnership involved students applying GIS skills like remote sensing, GPS, and network analysis to create economic opportunities along the new RLE corridor.
• This initiative is part of the RLE project's broader goal to promote economic development and revitalization in the South Side communities affected by the new transit line.
