The CPS Office of Local School Council Relations invites you to the virtual Local School Council Election Kick-Off on Saturday, October 18, 2025, at 10:00 AM. We're looking for passionate parents, community members, and school staff to step up and serve.

Local School Council (LSC) elections are happening this spring. LSCs are a powerful and unique part of Chicago's public school system. Elected LSC members have a direct voice in critical decisions that shape their schools, including approving school budgets, renewing principal contracts, and creating a supportive and effective culture. 

This is your chance to directly influence education and make a lasting impact on your community.
