Hi Koos,

Looks like you have already approved the signals and they are now available in the Signal Manager as seen below. Once signals are approved and available in the system, they will now show up in the draft signals list. You can proceed with the rest of the exercises.

HI Namrata,

A quick update. I am still working on the assessments.

I ran into a problem with the practical exercise 1 over the weekend and have reached out to the support desk this morning (see email below and attached screenshot). For now I am stuck as I must be doning something wrong somehre.

As soon as I hear back from them, I can continue with the assessments.

Kind Regards

Koos

Hi Namrata,

Thank you for your speedy reply – I notice that I had a filter on in the Signal manager -  No wonder I could not see the signals 😊 – It may be an idea to put a flag up to warn you that there are active filters.

Kind Regards

Koos

Good morning Namrata,

Apologies if I am a pain – but I got stuck once more.

Module B Exercise 3: Analyse data using Reports question 2 – create a heatmap widget for all current signals with heatmap setting set to "color signals relative to all signals"

I am having problems creating the Heatmap widget.

  • When I select the link in the above screen, it takes me to the right place in the Signal Manager, but I am not sure what to do here so that the signals are actually monitored in the “Insights” module -  I have been going around in circles

Hi Koos,

It is possible to create a heatmap of the signal values themselves without doing any anomaly detection. Especially when comparing many similar signals like a thermocouple array in a mold, the heatmap display can bring out outliers through a color coding.

You do that in reports rather than in insights. And you have to select the right display settings in the widget used to plot one or more signals to produce a heatmap. Can you now figure out the rest?

Hi Namrata,

Any advice on my query below?

How do I create the signals in the “Insights” module?

Hi Koos,

Sorry my message didn't make it to you earlier, which is why you didn't hear from us. See below and hope that helps.
