AN 'EQUINOX CME' IS COMING: Earlier today, an Earth-directed solar flare launched a CME almost directly toward our planet. It is due to arrive just hours before the northern vernal equinox, setting the stage for amplification via the Russell-McPherron effect. Mid-latitude auroras are possible on March 19-20.
