new paddle question

howdy folks :-)


my (2-3 year) 'old' sellkirk paddle is really starting to fall apart (the wafer construction just isn't too sturdy ;-)
I've been happy with it, but also understand there's been - and continues to be - lots of new paddle developments, which I'd be eager to check out before deciding what type of paddle to get.
which brings me to my question:

how, or where, might I be able to try some of these new-fangled paddles?
does the club have some? do some companies offer free trials? maybe some other way?
