I am using power point to share the screen.

To work out a problem I use MS Paint and write using the mouse and the screen is shared.

But the writing in MS Paint using mouse is not easy.

Is there any other software which allows writing with mouse with ease.

You can use the pen option in powerpoint.
It usually appears at the bottom left corner when then slide-show is on (You can use Ctrl+P shortcut).
It's pretty convenient to use that.

Hi,
Things can be more easy if we use touch screen tablets to share screen as writing with stylus pen on a tablet will be much more convenient than writing with mouse. There are many screen sharing apps like whiteboard etc. which can be used but I am not sure how useful they will be for distance learning, because I have used them on LAN systems but not on distant machines.

Hi,

I teach 8th Maths at Rolupadi, AP. I use Monoprice graphic drawing tablet (10 X6.25 inches). It comes with a pen and very comfortable to use. somehow i can't use whiteboard with this tablet (may be because of drivers issue) so I write in MS paint to write and share it. It made things so much easier.

Here is the link for it.     http://www.monoprice.com/product?p_id=6814

Thanks,

Hi,

That was a problem to me too. I teach 7th class science. I usually share screens only to play some videos.I tried these paint screen share etc...though effective, they consume time and forces me to be less spontaneous. Finally while on a shopping spree, I have seen hawkers selling small roll out blackboards and bought one immediately, along with one plastic hanger. made my life easier.
Can hang it anywhere and write down whatever  we wanna say.
One of my friend uses small black slates, to write on. and shows that to them. may you can even try that. Apart from these conventional methods, monoprice is impressive.

Gouthami Naidu.

There are many software but they are not free. One easy way is
If you have windows 10 machine and have Edge browser installed.
Then you can open any website which has the diagram or ppt in browser itself and then write over it like a whiteboard.

Have a look at this link.

http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-10/getstarted-write-on-the-web

Let me know if you have any questions.

Those who dont have windows 10/edge browser can use SnagIt software to write over anything you share.
