I highly recommend joining other clusters and begin carrying discussions between clusters.  Personally not figured the best mechanism to transfer conversations yet but I'm willing to investigate.  

(Technopoint: did you know you can turn off the flood of emails????  Go into your Google Groups settings and manage membership)  You can select how you manage your cluster account. For example, you can turn off all emails and manage your account by watching the clusters page.  You can get a daily update; you can get an abridged email update; or you can even unsubscribe from the group itself.)

This Google template of messaging reminds me a lot of Google's 'retired' Wave product. linking was possible in that platform through "invitation"

Agreed, RE Wave, but this has less flexibility for processing and sorting through messages.
