I just kicked a regression test on new code with the new 'Quick Launch' capabilities and it is fantastic.

I know this was a long time coming but it is a beautiful sight for sore eyes compared to the old system. Super easy, super clear. It just kicks ass.

I'll be using this in combination with my Deploy/Nuke cycles to get new code, dev, manually test on my persistent 'Deploy' setup, and then run a regression test on separate machines with 'Quick Launch'. When that passes, merge. Excellent workflow and sooooo much faster than the old system.

The storage team would like to leverage this new ease-of-use to create a long-running test that we can run weekly, etc to really limit test the code (e.g. run 1TB+ volumes and snapshots with timing info), and this setup should make that super easy. I will be following up with Vic on this, but looks like it should be trivial on the infrastructure side.

Many thanks, and a job well done!

plus one.

I'm about to commit some code for vpc but it shares logic with edge - get branch ready, quickstart against branch in edge, quickstart against branch in vpcmido in parallel, wait for green, commit. awesome!

Hey Team,

Looks like there is a bug in the latest Chef client that causes our deploy
process to fail. Unfortunately it was rolled out last night and we need to
make some changes. Hold for a few minutes on kicking new tests.
