There is an email address that makes it easier for taxpayers/stakeholders to get a message to all the trustees rather than be required to type in six individual email addresses.

One trustee says she doesn't read these, she only reads messages sent directly to her.  Another trustee appears to have recently unsubscribed from the trus...@estes.org email address.

Who is at the top of the org chart again?  Who should make it easier to hear from constituents rather than harder?  Who attended the last trustee talk as scheduled and who didn't?  How many mayor's chats have been held since April.  When will the annual state of the town address be presented, or has this also been canceled.  While you blame the constituents for lack of interest, and then move most public comment to nine o'clock on later on local topics while constituents patiently sit through an hour of unnecessary propaganda from PRPA and then raise electric rates and warn they will be raised again next year anyway, why would you continue to think this is the public's fault.  If this was a town of something other than 90% retirees who require oxygen, you would have to answer to your citizens instead of run away from them or ignore them.  Earn your free meals and $200+ each meeting.  If you are too busy to read, convert your emails to voice messages and lull yourself to sleep with them.

No need to respond.  You know I don't care about your whiny excuses.

John, you caught me in email this morning so I'm able to respond quickly. I received this email, and I read all of your emails, I read every email that comes to me.

I appreciate that you are willing to raise topics others might be timid about, and I appreciate that you're candid.

I agree with the importance of remembering the constituents position in the org chart for our community. One point that stands out in this email that I think is worthy of action, is to be respectful of our constituents' time. I agree that routine reports from other entities can go on longer than expected, and it is also bothersome to me that a member of the public will have to wait for sometimes several hours to participate in an issue that's important to them. I am going to look into our options here or try to understand better why we organize the agenda the way it is.

Thanks for taking time to write.

FYI. Getting back into range, saw this. Trustee Igel gae a brief reply on the public forum, but just sharing with you. We'll want to make sure all trustees do take note of all emails to the general group address; I'll mention this next week at the board meeting.

I'm just getting back into range after being out since a few days ago, I saw this.

Trustee Igel, thanks for the reply on some points. Yes, I read all emails addressed to me and have been catching up for the last couple of hours, quite a bit in five days. I'll remind in public session all trustees about the change and that they're expected to

The second "mayor only" coffee is planned for December but hasn't been publicized yet. I'm deliberately trying to not have these land immediately adjacent to the trustee talks, especially those trustee talks that I'm in attendance at, meaning that I'll be at approximately four or five open "talks/coffee" sessions annually. If I find the coffees are valued, attended, and in demand, I'll ramp them up. The first was moderately attended, but good discussion.

I've given many state of the town talks to a variety of groups (Women's Club, both Rotary Clubs, HOA groups, and several others), but not at a general session. I'll find out what the typical mechanics and timing are, because I do think that should be done. I haven't attended a previous one.

More as I get back in the swing, thanks.

FYI, here's the most recent State of the Town PowerPoint/document that I can track down with Town help. It was done in 2015 by Mayor Pinkham, but it doesn't appear at first pass that Mayor Jirsa or Mayor Koenig did one? John, do you have info to the contrary?

In the meantime, I am intrigued by the idea and may consider doing one of these in 1Q 2025. Thanks for bringing it to my attention.

FYI, I was able to get my hands on the 2016 State of the Town presentation, attached. This appears to be the last one, so the 2015 and 2016 appear to be the last time someone put these together. I do like the concept and intend to do one in 1Q 2025 and beyond, though it'll be my own version, not a replicate of these necessarily. Thanks.
