April 24, 2026 The Town of Estes Park will mark Arbor Day 2026 by giving away 400 chokecherry saplings and 1,500 native perennials on Saturday, April 25, from 9 a.m. to noon, or while supplies last, outside the Parks Division greenhouse at 600 Big Thompson Ave. Plants will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis, with a limit of two trees and four perennials per person. A free potting station, including pots, soil, and planting guidance, will be available on site. Participants should park at the Estes Park Visitor Center, 500 Big Thompson Ave., and follow posted signs to the greenhouse. The giveaway is funded by Platte River Power Authority. Estes Park earned Tree City USA status in 2025, marking its 29th year receiving the designation from the Arbor Day Foundation. .
