Dear Mayor Hall

I just left you a phone message on the trash in the parking garage. No one answered the phone.

My observation on the condition of filth in the garage is magnified by the length of time this has been apparent. 

Estes Park wants to encourage visitors on a regular basis so I think the town needs to step up its appearance to all that come here.

I've been a resident here for over 20 years.

The lack of attention to many public areas is obvious. 

Thank you for approaching a solution to my complaint.

Judy, the Town staff moved quickly to visit the garage and pick up residual trash. They're trying to determine the source and timing of some of that, but your message brought good attention to that. I drove through again yesterday and noted that, other than blowing twigs and leaves, and the normal concrete leaching on the walls and such, that it seemed to be in good shape garbage-wise. Certainly I imagine it is more littered after big events in town, but the Town staff does look to manage and keep that in good shape. Thanks again for raising the issue. I pick up trash and litter when I find it in Town Hall or Bond Park or most anywhere around town, just ancient habits I've built up. It's up to all of us to "Keep Estes Beautiful!". Have a great rest of winter (and Happy Valentine's Day!).

Thank you for your response on the trash in the garage. We too pick up fishing line along the lake and other unsightly things in town. I am aware that our wind does not help matters.
