Grid Deployment Office: PRPA Production Package

Hi Mayor Hall - 

We are excited to be headed to Estes Park next week for our filming on September 6th. Please find attached the Production Package that outlines all the creative strategy, participant information, interview questions, locations, and day of filming schedule. 

Pages 1-7 provide a nice overview of the project and direction for the video content that we briefly spoke about during our earlier conversations. The most important content that pertains to the PRPA filming is outlined on the following pages 8-25.  

A couple of notes while reviewing and action items:

• CREATIVE DIRECTION: Please review the proposed creative direction for the video plus the video narrative specific to your participation as Mayor of Estes Park, its historical background with severe weather, and the impact the new microgrid will have on Estes Park. After review, let us know if you have any questions or feel anything is misrepresented. 
• SCRIPT: For each project, 522 has developed a "script" that outlines the story framework/messaging so we can ensure we cover the most important aspect of each project story.  This script is not meant for our participants to read, but only as guidance during filming.  Please do not memorize any part of this script as we are looking for authentic soundbites that we'll get with each person's interview.  Again this is for reference only. 
• PARTICIPANT INTERVIEW QUESTIONS: Outlined on pages 15 and 16 are the interview questions we'll be asking participants. While reviewing, please don't worry about crafting the right response and rehearsing. We'll guide each participant through the interview and can work onsite to ensure we have the right soundbites for the final video product. We just want you to feel comfortable with the direction we are taking your interview in case you'd like to change anything.
• LOCATIONS: We have outlined on page 22 the locations we'll be filming on September 6th
• Mayor Hall: I know we spoke about a few locations during our call like the Town Hall, Museum, and a potential office location.  At this time, we won't need an office location, but we'd love to conduct filming at the Town Hall and Museum. 
• Ideally, we'd be conducting your interview at the Town Hall and would like to confirm we can bring cameras there and if we need any permits, etc, Can you let us know if we need to be in contact with anyone specific to secure filming at the Town Hall?
• We'd also be filming b-roll at the Museum and would love to work with a team member who can help us pull some archival footage. Do you have a contact at the museum that we can collaborate with to pull historical information? 
• If so, please feel free to connect them with us via email. If not, no worries, we can reach out and discuss options with them. 
• Lastly, we'd ideally like to film at the Taffy Shop and capture b-roll with you and the owner.  
• Would you be able to connect us with the owner so we can coordinate potentially filming b-roll?
• FILMING SCHEDULE: Outlined on page 24, is what we call run-of-show. This is our production schedule that outlines where we'll be, who we'll be filming, and where filming will take place. 
• Please review and confirm that the times we have allocated to your interview and b-roll still work! Happy to make adjustments if anything has changed since our last communication.
