Hello everyone,

I have created a Dropbox where I am saving the meeting agenda/meeting minutes and the folder for the EV Guide. You can access it here.

Action Items:

  1. Please enter your name on the ‘Estes Park CSG Exchange Visitor Guide’ document for the section(s) you want to write for the guide.
  2. Determine what you would like to see for the Exchange Day event.
  3. Consider joining the housing vetting team or submitting a name of someone who may be interested.

The next meeting is February 24, 2026 at 11AM.

As always, if you know of anyone who wants to be part of these meetings, send their email my way!

I also want to send a reminder that the CSG National Summit will be taking place March 23 – 26 in Pigeon Forge, TN. I high encourage you to attend if you can. It’s a gathering of people who are passionate about the exchange visitor program and creating an environment where exchange visitors and the community thrive together. There will be educational sessions, networking opportunities, complementary entry to Dollywood, and a volunteer opportunity. Learn more here: https://csgnational.org/event/2026-summer-work-travel-csg-summit/. I am on the planning committee, so I can answer any questions! Amanda attended the one in Myrtle Beach last year and can share about her experience as well!

Thank you all for your participation in this effort!

Warm regards,

Hello all - here are the documents I talked about in the meeting.

  1. Our instructions on coming to Estes Park - at the end there are 3 pages of 'Life in America/Colorado" that goes over common things people don't know. I surveyed my students over a period of years to come to this list.
  2. Our Work then Play program that we used at my restaurant. This is, of course, an example. We posted this and people signed up for activities based on their availability. My office team negotiated for the discounts or freebies.
  3. My master marketing calendar for Estes Park. This is the 2025 version, so we'd need to change the dates.  There are some things on there that don't likely matter to anyone but owners (like when spring break is for the cities that are our most common visitors), but it is a comprehensive list of all of the events around Estes. They change from time to time, but because there is no single entity that is in charge of these event, there is no comprehensive list - so we made one!

I put my name on the visitor guide for the annual events.

If by "the Exchange Day event" we are talking about the orientation, I think a vendor fair of sorts would be great. We discussed on the call. Banks, Social Security office, ride share, bike rental, scooter rental, event volunteer opporutunities, police, fire, town representatives, library (We have a very active library here with a lot of resources . They have a whole rental program for things like baking pans, tye dye kits, all kinds of things), cell providers or at least instructions, maybe those who want to hire for second jobs (if vetted), maybe a TiPS training area for those needing that training for restaurants, an 'american money' training station, a FAQ or Q&A ambassador area where they can ask anything they want to know.

Thanks - Val

Thank you!
