Opportunity to meet Latino community - Cinco de Mayo event

Hi, Kirby- Hope you're having a great week!

I wanted to extend an invitation for you to attend the Cinco de Mayo celebration scheduled for 5:30-7:30 on Sunday, May 3 at the Estes Park Event Center. This annual event, celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, is funded and organized by local Latina businesswoman Olga Rojas and her family and attracts hundreds of Latino community members from across the Estes Valley. 

This event is a good opportunity for you to visibly support the local Latino community. If you can attend, I would like to introduce you to Olga and to a few other key Latino community members who have expressed the desire for increased Latino representation in town leaders' discussions about the future of Estes.

Not to mention, the event will feature a free Mexican dinner and a variety of Latino entertainment!

I hope that you will take advantage of this opportunity. 

If you do plan to attend this event and are interested in meeting those Latino community representatives, let me know and we can exchange phone numbers to facilitate a plan to meet at the event.

Thanks so much for the email and the personal invite. The event is already on my calendar. :) And I look forward to seeing you and Olga, her daughter was one of my soccer players when I first start coaching at the high school! I would also be happy to meet anyone else, although I don't want to interfere/insert myself in the purpose of the evening's celebrations.

Would you like for me to extend your kind invitation to the rest of the Town Board? I can ask the Town Clerk to disseminate the info and let you know who plans to attend. You may already have done that yourself but just wanted to make sure other representatives have the opportunity to engage as well.

Hi, Kirby - Thanks for your response. I’ll keep an eye out for you at the Cinco de Mayo event. 

I’ve already reached out to the mayor and the trustees that I’ve previously met with the same invite that I sent you. The mayor and Jamie Mieras have already responded that they’ll also be at the event.
