Hi Town Clerk Williamson - I know with ballot initiatives or recalls, there is a maximum word limit on what is submitted, like 200 words.
Is that the case for upcoming town board candidates' "narratives" appearing on the town website? Was there a recommended length, a suggested length, or a hard-and-fast length?
I wouldn't want anyone to overflow the space provided them, or be allotted more than their fair share of time during the candidate forums. Or maybe those candidates should be considered as iconoclasts and better thans.
Because as I am considering candidates in the upcoming election, I think I want to favor those who know the rules and follow the rules, or maybe I want to favor those who bend the rules or who think the rules don't apply to them, in case I am worried about something on the horizon that requires flexibility instead of unthinking conformity.
But I definitely want to support candidates who know how to count, if they were asked to count.
