We’re excited to welcome six new members to our Climate Mayors Steering Committee for 2026:
Kirk Watson of Austin, TX Randall Woodfin, Birmingham, AL Rex Richardson, Long Beach, CA Patricia Lock Dawson of Riverside, CA Daniel Lurie, San Francisco, CA Nadia Mohamed of St. Louis Park, MN
The newly appointed Steering Committee members bring determination, deep expertise, and a commitment to providing affordable energy, resilient communities, and a healthy future for generations to come. These mayors join the 23 other Climate Mayors Steering Committee members who are leading in this critical time of federal retrenchment on climate change and clean energy.
Last week, three newly elected Steering Committee members hit the ground running and joined peers at the COP30 Local Leaders Forum to share with the international community share how they are delivering on climate progress and cutting costs — cutting fossil fuel use, defending communities from extreme weather, and investing in good green jobs and affordable American-made clean energy —while standing united with global partners to advance climate.
