Hello Mayor,
Nice to meet you! I work in marketing for The Stanley Hotel and am really excited for our ribbon cutting ceremony on Sunday at 10am.
I have prepared a short script for you and John, but wanted to get your input. Please read below and make any notes as you see fit:
JOHN CULLEN:
Welcome everyone to the Carriage House! Originally built in 1909 by FO Stanley, it is now the new home of The Post Restaurant and Aiden Sinclair’s Underground. This is certainly an exciting day in Stanley history and we are so thankful to so many of you who have worked tirelessly to get this open, especially on July 4th which is such an important day to us. We want to specially thank mayor Wendy Koenig and the town including over 20 different agencies who helped us make this a reality. It was no easy feat to turn a building that has not been used in over 50 years into what it is today, and we are very grateful for all your help and support. We would also like to thank The Post Chicken and Beer for making the multi-million dollar commitment and coming to Estes Park, and Aiden Sinclair who left his life in LA to move to Estes to be with us. Your commitment to The Stanley really made this all possible.
I will now turn it over to the Mayor for a few words.
MAYOR KOENIG:
Thank you, John. We are certainly excited to be here today to cut the ribbon on this beautiful building. Not only does the Carriage House look better than ever, but its impact and contribution to the Estes Park community will be enormous. With the addition of The Post Chicken and Beer and Aiden Sinclair’s Underground, there will be 60-100 new jobs in our town, contributing to more sales to other businesses in Estes Park. These two new businesses are providing $350,000 alone in sales tax to the town and about a half million per year in revenue to local businesses in the area. We couldn’t be happier for this addition to our community.
We will now cut the ribbon and signify the official grand opening of The Post Chicken and Beer and Aiden Sinclair’s Underground!
**PAUSE TO TAKE PHOTOS BEFORE CUTTING THE RIBBON**
Please note: We will be doing dry plate photography so this is important to pause for pictures before we cut the ribbon. Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I look forward to meeting you on Sunday!
Best,
Kristina
