Next Steps Document (UPDATED) - TEA has updated the document sent out last week that can be used with districts who have “inherited” a designated teacher or will have a National Board teacher earn a designation this year.  This document has been updated to make clear that teachers with intern and probationary certifications will not meet requirements to earn designations or generate an allotment. See attached.

NBCT Info Session - On Wednesday, February 10 from 3:30-5:00, the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards and TEA will host an informational session for districts interested in supporting National Board candidates. The session is open to district leaders and aspiring National Board candidates. Registration link

NBCT TIA Q&A Session - On Monday, February 22 from 3:00-5:00, TEA will host TIA Q&A sessions for districts employing National Board Certified Teachers (NBCTs), particularly districts not yet participating in TIA. TEA will send an invitation to all districts and teachers that can be found in the National Board database and would appreciate your support in identifying any others.  NBCTs are encouraged to attend with a district administrator. Registration link

Cohort D Application Glitch - The glitch occurred on the student growth tab and would not allow a district to describe their other growth measure used.  All districts not using the “other” student growth measure will not need to re-download the application, we would recommend that they redownload if they are using "other" student growth measure.
