11) Invitation:
Virtual Supplier Info Session featuring Polycarbin
- Friday, April 17, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Please join UCSB Procurement Services on Friday, April 17, from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. for a virtual supplier info session featuring Polycarbin.
About Polycarbin: Polycarbin
is a UC strategically-sourced supplier that has developed a true
circular
economy for laboratory plastics, providing labs a solution to
recycle
scientific plastic waste, such as pipette tip boxes, HDPE
bottles, and other
lab plastics, and remanufacture them into new, high-quality lab
products. By
choosing Polycarbin, labs can significantly reduce their carbon
footprint and
ensure plastics are remanufactured rather than downcycled or
sent to a
landfill.
The Info Session: The purpose of this session is to help you understand how to make your lab operations more sustainable. We will be joined by Taylor Burns, Polycarbin’s Lab Sustainability Lead, who will provide an overview of:
The Polycarbin Circular Economy: How the recycling and remanufacturing process works.
Product Overview: A look at which manufacturers partner with Polycarbin to offer sustainable lab products.
Glove Recycling: Specific details on managing a recycling stream for laboratory gloves.
Registration & Questions: Register via
Zoom to add the event to your calendar and receive the
meeting details. You
will also have the opportunity to submit questions for Taylor
and the
Procurement team during the registration process.
We look forward to seeing you there and working together to drive more intentional, sustainable purchasing at UCSB!
