Day by volunteering at Santa
Barbara’s
Earth Day Festival!
Volunteers are the backbone of Earth Day - assisting with vendor check in, greeting guests, conducting crowd counts, working in Community Environmental Council’s Green Car Show and helping with children’s activities. Volunteers also assist with stage management, social media, beer garden, and supporting our ‘Zero Waste Team’ to ensure that our Earth Day Festival produces as little waste as possible. Please join us at Alameda Park. Volunteer shifts are three hours each and you may sign up for as many as you would like. Invite your friends to join you!

29th Annual Fish Derby at the Neal Taylor Nature Center at
Cachuma Lake
I’m reaching out because we are looking for volunteers to help us during the 29th Annual Fish Derby taking place on Friday April 17 - Sunday April 19 at the Cachuma Lake Campgrounds. The Executive Director, Julie McDonald, mentioned that you’ve helped us find volunteers in the past by posting our needs on List Serve. Would you be able to do that for us again, please?
Here are our specific volunteer needs:
Friday April 17 from 10am - 10pm: setup, prep prizes, registration, raffle ticket sales and t-shirt sales
Saturday April 18 from 8am - 8pm: weigh station, registration, raffle sales, ticket sales, and kids activities (from 10:30am-1:30pm)
Sunday April 19 from 8am - 4pm: weigh station, raffle and ticket sales, program set up, program break down
All of our Derby volunteers are invited to a Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on Saturday April 19 at 6pm at the Nature Center.
