Given todays earlier ESmail
message contained information about different types of
environmental graduate programs, I don't want to forget to mention
UCSB's very own in-house Environmental Graduate School and the
different degree programs they have to offer. Below is the latest
announcement from Bren School of Environemntal Science and
Management containing info on "How to pay for graduate school"
that might be helpful.
They also want me to remind you
about the special $10,000 (x10 students) Fellowship Offer and waived
the $135 application fee for UCSB alumni looking to participate in
the one-year Masters of Environmental Data Science (MEDS)
program. Learn more about
MEDS
here and if you have questions about the UCSB alumni only
fellowships email MEDS director Jamie Montgomery

Academic Student
Employment
Many students
are successful at
securing Teaching
Assistant (TA)
positions each year.
Some students work
as Graduate Student
Researchers (GSR).
Students employed in
these positions may
qualify for partial
tuition remission
and the university
pays for a portion
of their quarterly
fees. After
admission, incoming
students are
provided with more
information on how
to secure these
positions. Learn more.

PhD
Funding
The Bren School
strives to offer
five-year funding
packages to each
admitted PhD student
to make their
education more
affordable. Funding
plans are highly
individualized and
often include a
combination of
internal and
external
fellowships, grants,
donor funds, and
academic employment.
