Summer & Fall Undergraduate Internship Opportunity: Ocean and Coastal Policy Center (UCSB)
The Ocean and Coastal Policy Center (OCPC) at UCSB invites applications for a paid undergraduate internship to support the implementation of the UCSB Shoreline Adaptation Project Community Engagement Plan. This position offers students the opportunity to participate in meaningful climate adaptation planning through community outreach, tribal consultation support, public engagement events, social media campaigns, and the development of digital tools such as QR signage and an ArcGIS Story Map. Interns will assist with organizing focus groups, preparing educational content, and supporting engagement with local Chumash Tribes, the Isla Vista community, and UCSB stakeholders.
The internship runs from July 2025 to December 31, 2025 (with possible extension), at 10–15 hours per week, $18/hour. This is an excellent opportunity, supported by the UCSB Coastal Fund, for students interested in environmental planning, coastal policy, community-based research, and climate adaptation.
Applications are being accepted till the position is filled.
