6) Summer Jobs with
CALPIRG!
What are you doing with the rest of your summer? Are you looking
for an
opportunity that will build your skills? Or a job that will make
real impacts
on important issues?
Work with CALPIRG and the Fund for the Public
Interest to
protect our drinking water from toxic PFAS chemicals! Learn more and apply here!
Here's some more info about the campaign:
PFAS chemicals are linked to cancer & developmental problems. They’re used in everything from cleaning products to cookware, and when those products are washed, PFAS can get into our drinking water. Experts estimate that more than half of Californians are exposed to PFAS in our water. So CALPIRG is working to pass laws that would phase out PFAS from consumer products and require water departments to filter PFAS out of our water supply. We’ve already helped ban PFAS in makeup, clothing, and firefighting foam, so we know if we build enough public support we can win more protections!
We're hiring for paid campaign positions in nearly 20 cities across the country this summer, including in Los Angeles, Oakland, Santa Barbara, and Santa Cruz! Apply now!
